High Efficiency Oil
The LAARS Horizon is a highly efficient oil-fired hydronic heating boiler engineered to maximize the transfer of energy from the combustion process directly into the water flowing through the unit by increasing heat retention in the base and chamber. Its wet base, three pass, horizontal tube design is capable of reliably providing five gallons per minute of domestic hot water.
Built to last a lifetime, the Horizon's solid steel construction is up to fifty percent stronger than competing cast iron designs and is backed with a non-prorated, limited lifetime warranty on its ASME shell.

Raised coil flanges, stainless steel baffles, and easy to remove covers simplify cleaning and maintenance.

Other Horizon features include: three-pass design; two fully insulated hinged front doors for easy cleaning access; easy rear flue box cleanout access; built-in automatic circulator; front-mounted temperature and pressure gauge; precision Honeywell temperature control; choice of Beckett, Blue Angel or Riello oil burners.

Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) refers to the the amount of heat actually delivered compared to the amount of fuel supplied expressed as a percentage (test completed at 299,000 BTUH input). AFUE includes includes most losses that occur under normal usage (stack loss, radiation, convection, standing pilot loss, etc.).
